Mrs. Patricia Lou (Hurst) Ells, age 61, of Shepherdsville, entered eternal life Friday, March 20, 2026. Mrs. Ells was born in Louisville, KY on August 1, 1964. She was a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, daughter and sister.
Her father, Joseph Frank Hurst, Sr.; grandmother, Lavana Page; niece, Chelsea Hurst; nephew, Raylen Cole Blair and her daughter-in-law, Terri Schlenk preceded her in death.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, Jeff Ells; mother, Maybelle Hurst; children, Michael Penn, Joshua Hurst (Melanie) and Joseph Nevitt; grandchildren, Lilly Hurst, Abby Penn, Jenny Penn, Emily Penn and Harmony Schlenk; siblings, JoAnn Bensing (Tony), Joey Hurst, Jr. (Melissa), Angela Hurst (Randall), Steven Wayne Hurst and David Lee Hurst (Stephanie) and a host of other dear family and friends.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, March 26, 2026 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home with burial to follow at Brookland Cemetery. Friends and family may pay their respects on Thursday from 10:00 am until the time of her service at 2:00 pm at the funeral home.
