Patricia S Heines

Mrs. Patricia Sue "Pat" Heines, age 86, of Hillview, Kentucky, returned to her Heavenly Father on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, with her family by her side. Patricia was born in Louisville, Kentucky, to the late Francis Nall and Dorothy (Miller) Nall. She was the most kind, loving and compassionate person you could ever meet. Her belief in life was to serve and help others in need, and she demonstrated that every day throughout her life. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially at their lake home on Nolin Lake. Pat was known in the North Bullitt area as one of the most involved leaders with the Girl Scouts of America as her daughters grew up, and again as her granddaughters became involved in Girl Scouts. She received the "Heart of Hillview" award because of all of her work with the local Girl Scouts. The neighborhood kids and friends of her children were like her own. She had many young people consider her their "second mom." She was a huge supporter and volunteer with the Hebron and North Bullitt bands. As a child, she enjoyed serving her parish on their bingo nights and enjoyed attending the teen club dances. She graduated from Mercy High School in 1957. She retired from National City Processing Company. Her hobbies included crocheting, scrapbooking, and reading. Pat loved the Lord and was always lifting others up in prayer and helping those in need. She will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, late husband Robert L. Heines, grand-daughter Brianna Lowe, great-grandson Huck Heines, siblings Elizabeth Hemp, William, Frank and John Nall.

She leaves to cherish her memories her children Karen Heines, Robert L. Heines, Jr., (Joy Faye), Mark Heines (Chris), Melissa Lowe (Tony), 8 grandchildren: Andrew Heines (Casey), Heather Heines, Betsy Massoth (Matt), Helen Stringer (Adam), Isaac Heines (Myranda), Skylar Lowe, David Lowe, Jordan Lowe; 10 great-grandchildren, brother Kenneth Nall, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other dear family and friends.

A Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Schoppenhorst Underwood & Brooks Funeral Home (4895 N. Preston Highway at John Harper Highway). A Funeral service will be Celebrated Thursday, August 6, 2026, at the Cathedral of the Assumption Catholic Church, (433 S. Fifth Street in downtown Louisville, 40202). Visitation will be in the vestibule at the back of the church from 11:00 a.m. until the Funeral Mass at 12 noon. Burial will follow the mass at Brookland Cemetery off John Harper Highway, behind the Schoppenhorst Underwood & Brooks Funeral Home. Expressions of sympathy may be donated to the Girl Scouts of Kentuckiana in Pat's honor.
