Paul "Woody" David Pierce

Mr. Paul “Woody” David Pierce, age 59, of Louisville, returned to his Heavenly Father on Saturday, April 27, 2019. Mr. Pierce was born in Louisville, Kentucky on October 10, 1959 to the late Melvin and Edith Pierce. He was a graduate of Doss High School in 1977 and afterward Mr. Pierce enlisted in the United States Army. He was self-employed where he loved to work on cars and did construction and repair work on homes.  

He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Brenda (Hardesty) Pierce; and his infant children, Hope Nicole and David Paul Pierce.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his daughter, Karin “Nikki”  Pierce; son, David Pierce; step-children, Joey and Jimmy Montgomery; grandchildren, Avery Tate, Connor Pierce, J.C. Montgomery, Cain Montgomery, Hunter Montgomery, and Darren Wilson; brother, Mark Pierce (Julie); and his sisters, Mary Pierce and Rebecca DeSpain (Leo); numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends.

Memorial service will be held at 12:00 pm on Thursday, May 30, 2019 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) with burial to follow in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central. Friends may pay their respects on Thursday from 10:00 am until the time of the service at the funeral home.
