Peggy Fay Green

Mrs. Peggy Fay Green, age 86, of Louisville, returned to her Heavenly Father on Friday, June 7, 2024. Mrs. Green was born in Portland, TN on January 21, 1938 to the late Walter Bennett and Ruby Walker Bennett. She was a devoted member of Gethsemane Baptist Church for over 50 years and a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and an avid Kentucky Wildcat Fan.    

In addition to her parents, her beloved husband, Louis M. Green; great-grandson, John Stillwell Jr.; sister, Betty Bennett and brother, Gary Bennett preceded her in death.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Desiree Orkies, Dean Green (Glenda), Duaine Green (Andrea), Dirk Green (Shelli) and Daryll Green (Kim); 13 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren and a host of other dear family and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm on Thursday, June 13, 2024 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) with burial to follow at Brookland Cemetery. Friends and family may pay their respects on Wednesday from 12:00 pm until 8:00 pm and on Thursday from 9:00 am until the time of her service at 12:00 pm at the funeral home.
