Phyllis Gail Bowling

Phyllis “Gail” Bowling, age 66, of Louisville, Kentucky returned to her Heavenly Father on Friday, May 22, 2026. She was born on June 5, 1959, in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Donnie and Eillene (Lucas) Pace. Gail enjoyed going to Mercy Me concerts with her husband. She loved wrestling, music and dancing. She also loved lighthouses and her lilies. She and her husband appeared in several movies on Lifetime and Hallmark Movie channels. Gail was extremely proud to be a military wife. Her kind nature and caring manner will be missed by all who knew and loved her. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandparents, Wade and Kathleen Lucas.

She leaves to honor and cherish her memory her beloved husband of 46 years, Bill Bowling; daughter, Sarah Gail Young; grandchildren, Connor and Kira; brother, Rufus Pace; sisters, Brenda Welker, Vickie Good (Darren), Deetra Freibert and Donalene Tatum (Joe); adopted grandchildren, Sage and Harley along with a host of other family and friends.

Funeral service will be conducted on Tuesday, June 2, 2026, at 12:00 pm in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood & Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) with interment in Brookland Cemetery. Family and friends may pay their respects on Monday, June 1, 2026, from 1:00 pm until 7:00 pm and on Tuesday, June 2, 2026, from 9:00 am until the time of the service at the funeral home.
