Randall "Randy" Hugh Russ

Mr. Randall “Randy” Russ, age 72, of Louisville, KY, returned to his Heavenly Father on Monday, January 3, 2022. Randy was born in Louisville, KY on May 14, 1949, to the late Joseph Edward Russ and Mary Irene “Eapmon” Russ. Randy served in the U.S. Marine Corps, he worked for Ford Louisville Assembly Plant for 30 years, a member of the UAW 862, he enjoyed golfing, barrell racing and horse training was a passion of his, he liked gun shows, hunting, however most of all he loved his family dearly they were his world.

Among those who preceded him in death are his parents 2 brothers, Shirley and Kenneth Russ

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 37 years Phyllis “Vanover” Russ; his 2 daughters, Shelley Russ Leffler (Tim), Nikki Russ Hazelip; 6 grandchildren, Adam Gravatte, Noah Gravatte, Tyler Gravette, Rachel Leffler, Summer Leffler, Seth Leffler, 2 brothers, Joe Russ (Verna), Ronnie Russ (Darcie), 2 sisters, Brenda Stapleton (Louie), and Beverly Russ; along with a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, January 10, 2022, in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Highway at Brooks Road). Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 9, 2022, from 12: 00 pm until 8:00 pm and again on Monday, January 10, 2022, from 9:00 am until time of service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Highland Memory Gardens. Expressions of sympathy may be made to NKF (National Kentucky  Kidney Foundation).
