Rebecca "Becky" Smith

Ms. Rebecca “Becky” Lea Smith, age 45, of Mt. Washington, KY returned to her Heavenly Father on Tuesday, February 23, 2021. Ms. Smith was born on January 19, 1976 in Louisville, KY. She was a 1994 graduate of Bullitt East High School. She pursued her education at WKU earning a bachelor’s degree in communication, graduating in 1998. Becky was fun-loving and generous. She would give you the shirt off her back if needed and she had an infectious sense of humor. She loved to entertain and dress up in costumes, especially on Halloween. Becky also loved animals, especially her pet dog, Buddy.

Ms. Smith was preceded in death by her father, Robert K. Smith.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her mother, Janice Klostermann; stepfather, Mike Klostermann; brother, Jason Smith; stepsisters, Tracie Moore (Alex) and Kristy Joslin (Brandon); 4 nephews, Braxton, Kruz, Tristan and Blaine and a host of other dear family and friends.

Memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 2, 2021 in the chapel of  Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home in Mt. Washington, KY (123 Winning Colors Drive). Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 2, 2021 from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. In honor of Becky's memory, expressions of sympathy may be given to the KY Humane Society.
