Rev. James E. Overstreet

Rev. James E. Overstreet, age 85, of Louisville, returned to his Heavenly Father on Saturday, October 30, 2021. Mr. Overstreet was born in Adair County, KY on May 17, 1936 to the late Ethley and Lora Overstreet. He was a member of Okolona General Baptist Church, Valley Masonic Lodge #511 F&AM and he retired from Wehr Constructors.

Among those who preceded him in death are, his beloved wife, Nancy (Osborne) Overstreet; his son, Bobby Overstreet; his daughter-in-law, Sheila Overstreet; his grandson, Frankie Lee Overstreet and his siblings.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his children, Doris Overstreet, Frankie Overstreet, James Harold Overstreet (Lynn) and Johnnie Overstreet (Brenda); 10 grandchildren; 17 great- grandchildren; 1 great-great grandson and a host of other dear family and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, November 3, 2021 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) with burial at Brookland Cemetery. Friends and family may pay their respects on Tuesday from 12:00 pm until 8:00 pm and on Wednesday from 9:00 am until the time of service at the funeral home.
