Mr. Richard Keith Coy, age 42, of Louisville, Kentucky, returned to his Heavenly Father on Monday, October 26, 2026. He was born on January 26, 1984 to Robin and the late Randall Coy in Louisville, Kentucky. Richard is preceded in death by his father; maternal grandparents, Jack and Shirley Ramsey; paternal grandfather, Everett Coy; sisters, Lisa and Brandy Coy; uncle, Timothy Coy; and aunt, Shirleen Crenshaw.
Richard was one to always bring laughter into a room. He was a jokester by heart and loved to see people smile. When you were with him, he wanted your undivided attention because he cherished time together. Richard enjoyed watching movies. His favorite genre of movie was comedies. He will be missed by those who knew and loved him.
He leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Robin Coy; brother, Scott Coy (Allison); paternal grandmother, Nettie Coy; nieces, Melissa Gayle Coy, Chelsey White (Dustin); nephew, Ely Coy (Haley); and a host of cousins, family and friends.
Funeral service will be held on Sunday, November 1, 2026 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy at Brooks Rd) with cremation to follow. Family and friends may pay their respects on Sunday starting at 10:00 am until the time of service at 2:00 pm.
