

Mr. Richard “Wayne” Jordan, age 73, of Shepherdsville, returned to his Heavenly Father on Saturday, December 19, 2020. Mr. Jordan was born in Louisville on June 29, 1947 to the late Richard Earl and Francis (Bellar) Jordan.
Mr. Jordan was a beloved husband, father, son, and friend to so many, he spent his life in service to his country and community. He is a native of Louisville, KY and Louisville Male High School Alumni Class of 1965, retiring after 22 years of service from the Louisville Fire Department as a Captain. Wayne also retired as a Command Sergeant Major with 37 years of service in the United States Army Reserve. Wayne also retired from the State Government as the the Administrator and Coordinator for Fire Training with KCTCS. He is Past Master of Suburban Lodge #740 Free and Accepted Masons.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife, Lisa G. Jordan; son, Richard T. Jordan; daughter, Suzanne (Jordan) Redmon; brother, James Jordan; grandchildren, Trent Morabito, Riley Brown, Savannah and Mason Jordan.
Funeral service will be held at 10 am on Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy at Brooks Rd) with interment to follow at Evergreen Cemetery. Friends may pay their respects on Tuesday from 3 pm until 8 pm and on Wednesday from 9 am until the time of service at the funeral home.
