Ms. Rita Loretta Embry, age 88, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on February 4, 2026, with her family by her side. Rita was born in Coral Ridge, Kentucky, to the late Thomas Bradley Dezern and Georgia Mae (Graham) Dezern. She was a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses—Valley Station Congregation. A homemaker that loved and enjoyed taking care of her family, baking, cooking, working in her yard, always caring for others. Rita was a good-hearted person, she never met a stranger, she will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her late husband Ken Embry, son Gary Gividen, two grandchildren Misty Nelson, and Garren Patty.
She leaves to cherish her memories her three children Laranda Rice (Danny), Mark Gividen, and Trina Patty (Danny), 14 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, 9 great-great-grandchildren, along with a host of nieces, nephews and other dear family and friends.
Cremation was chosen.
