

Robert “Bob” Bowman, age 69, of Shepherdsville, Ky passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 18, 2025, with his family by his side. Bob was born in Louisville, Kentucky on September 29, 1955, to the late William Oscar Bowman and Adelaide (Kavich) Bowman. He retired from BAE Systems as a machinist; he was a United States Veteran where he served in the Marines. Bob enjoyed spending time at Nolin Lake, the beach at Ft. Myers, a good game of golf, and he was a diehard University of Louisville fan. He also enjoyed horse racing, playing the slots, and mowing his grass. Bob loved his family and friends, was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather, and was always generous, and kind to others. He will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Patricia Ann Leister, and nephew Little Billy Bowman III.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years Tish Bowman, sons Bobby Bowman Jr., (Lori), Matt Bowman, 2 grandchildren Dezi, and Blake, brothers Bill Bowman Jr., (Gerry), Mike Bowman (Syl). Along with a host of nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews and other dear family and friends.
A Memorial Visitation service will be held on Thursday, May 22, 2025, at Schoppenhorst Underwood & Brooks Funeral Home (4895 N. Preston Hwy, at John Harper Freeway), from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Burial will take place Friday May 23, 2025, at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central at 10:30 a.m. Will be leaving Funeral Home at 9:30 a.m. to process to Cemetery in Radcliffe.
