Robert Edward Hughes Jr.

Robert “Bobby” Edward Hughes Jr., 78, of Louisville, passed away on April 18, 2025, at Norton Audubon Hospital.  He was born in Wheeling, West Virginia, then moved to Louisville as a child, where he later attended Durrett High School.  He lovingly supported his wife of 58 years and diligently provided for his family as an over-the-road truck driver.  He spent much of his career with Glenmore Distilleries.  He frequently attended car shows/races and enjoyed watching NASCAR, Cincinnati Reds baseball, UK basketball and old western movies.

Bobby is preceded in death by his wife, Eula Brunelle Buntain Hughes; his parents, Robert “Bob” Edward Hughes Sr. and Lena Mae Hughes; his sister, Carol Hughes Allen; and his brother, Richard “Ricky” Allen Hughes. 

He leaves to cherish his memory, daughter, Lisa Hughes Propheter; granddaughter, Aliya Propheter; niece, Lisa Allen Reiter Wilderman; nephew, Phil Allen; 2 great-nieces and 2 great-nephews.
