Robert David McCoy

Sergeant First Class Robert D. McCoy Sr. (Bob) age 77 was born March 24, 1937 to the late Virgil and Pauline Barrow McCoy and returned to his Heavenly Father January 15, 2015. Mr. McCoy was a retired U.S. Army veteran from 1960 until 1982, serving in the Vietnam War. Our Father, Husband, Grandfather and Solider has Passed. May he have peace and comfort. We love him and will miss him.

Among those who preceded him in death include his brother, Jerry Leroy McCoy and his parents.

He leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife, Marlene Albin McCoy; children, Paula K. McCoy, Mary Elaine Gunther, Robert D. McCoy Jr. and Brenda Jean Grider; brothers, Carl and George McCoy; three grandchildren, Stacy, Cody and Carson; a host of other family and friends.

Funeral service will be held 7:30 P.M. Monday at Schoppenhorst Underwood and Brooks (Preston Highway at Brooks Road and use John Harper entrance) with interment in Kentucky Veterans Central Cemetery 10 A.M. Tuesday. Friends may pay their respects from 5 P.M. until 7:30 P.M. Monday at Schoppenhorst.
