

Robert Patterson, 91, passed on to a better life on June 29, 2022. He could often be heard saying, “God has been good to me”. Robert lived all his life in Louisville until 7 years ago when he moved to Richmond, KY. He and his wife Dorothy (Dot) were co-owners of Patterson’s Bakery in Highland Park where they worked side by side for 33 years.
Robert was a Korean war combat veteran and served his country proudly. While overseas his only child, Janice, was born. He was a member of Seaton Park Baptist Church where he served as a trustee.
Robert was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 61 years, Dorothy (Dot) Patterson; parents, David T. and Mary Agnes (Wise) Patterson; brother, Ivan (Shug) Patterson; sister, Martha Louise (Feese) Capshaw and niece, Cheri Porter.
He is survived by his daughter, Janice Jackson (Steven); grandson, Nick Jackson (Madison); two great grandchildren, Elora Jackson and Weston Jackson. He was “Uncle Bobby” to Cathy, Tom and Sandi Capshaw and Rusty, Heidi and Larry Patterson.
Service will be 2 pm on Tuesday, July 5, 2022 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) with burial in Hebron Cemetery. Friends and Family may pay their respects on Monday from 5 pm until 8 pm and on Tuesday from 12pm until time of service at the funeral home.
