Ronald Foster

Ronald Lee “Ronnie” Foster, age 76 of Shepherdsville, Kentucky returned to his Heavenly Father on Saturday, February 14, 2026. He was born on October 8, 1949, in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Donald and Josephine (Tinnell) Foster. Ronnie was a jokester and everyone loved being around him. If he was “picking on you” it meant he liked you. His even tempered, good nature rarely found him getting angry. He loved fishing and taking his family camping. Memories of swimming and gathering around the campfire are memories his loved ones will always remember. His true passion was his family; spending time with them and creating memories is what Ronnie held most dear to his heart. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson, Wesley Andrew Ridener; sister, Judy Schmitt and niece, Kelly Schmitt Purdue.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 57 years, Linda (Purcell) Foster; daughter, Lorie Blake (Doug “Blake”); son, Donald “Donnie” Foster (April); grandchildren, Clayton Ridener, Destiny Hamilton (William), Jody Foster, Lillyan Miles (Timothy), Tessa Blake, Ashton Luckett, Landon Blake and Shelbie Blake; great-grandchildren, William Hamilton IV “Liam”, David Miles, and Sylvia Miles and a host of other family and friends. The family would like to lovingly thank Chuck and Sandy Holsclaw for all they’ve done over the years. Their generosity, kindness and compassion are so greatly appreciated.

Funeral service will be conducted on Monday, February 23, 2026, at 12:00 pm in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood & Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) with interment in Risinger Cemetery. Family and friends may pay their respects on Sunday, February 22, 2026, from 1:00 pm until 8:00 pm and on Monday, February 23, 2026, from 9:00 am until the time of service at the funeral home.
