Roy William Brown

Mr. Roy William Brown, age 33, of Shepherdsville, Kentucky, returned to his Heavenly Father on Wednesday, August 23, 2023. He was born in Louisville, Kentucky to Roy L. Brown and Gina (Beam) Kemper on June 3, 1990. Mr. Brown was a member of the Teamster Local #89 and was Christian by faith. Roy attended grade school at Saint Aloysius Catholic School in Shepherdsville, graduating in 2005 and attended high school at Saint Xavier Catholic School, graduating in 2009. He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Roy M Beam and Suzanne (Short) Beam.

Roy loved being in nature, four wheelin’, kayaking and hunting. He was so happy to share these things he loved so much with those people he loved so much, his wife and precious children. A favorite night at home involved hanging out in the garage, listening to music, dancing with Audrey and watching his children play and perform. The number of lifelong friends Roy had is a testament to his loyalty and commitment to anyone he called “friend.” Roy’s life on this earth has ended far too soon but his spirit will live on in those who were blessed to have known him and experienced the person that was “Roy Brown.” Turn it up!

He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 5 years, Audrey Brown, son, Roy T Brown, daughters, June Elliott Brown and Sadie Belle Brown; parents, Gina Kemper and Doug Kemper, Roy L. Brown and Michele Brown; sister, Hannah Kemper, brother, Christopher Kemper; stepbrothers, Jimmy and Michael Clements; paternal grandfather, Bill Brown (Brenda); paternal grandmother, Carole Taylor; in-laws, Angie Etherton and Thomas Etherton; sister-in-law, Alysse Flener (Jeremy); brother-in-law, Alec Etherton; 2 nieces; a nephew; and oodles of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 30, 2023 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy at Brooks Rd) with cremation to follow. Family and friends may pay their respects on Tuesday, August 29, 2023 from 12:00 pm until 8:00 pm and again on Wednesday from 10:00 am until the time of service at 2:00 pm.
