Roy Walter Cox, Jr.

Mr. Roy Walter Cox, Jr., age 74, of Mt. Washington returned to his Heavenly Father on November 26, 2017. Mr. Cox retired from Armor Elevator where he worked in quality control. He was a member of Cardinal Hill Baptist Church and attended First Baptist Church in Mt. Washington and Eagle Heights Baptist Church in Shepherdsville. Mr. Cox was a mason with Zoneton Masonic Lodge #964. Among those that preceded him in death include his father and stepmother, Roy Cox, Sr. (Barbara) and mother and stepfather, Meriam May (John). He leaves to cherish his memory his daughter, Candy Cornett (Mark); grandchildren, Amanda Tucker (Jason), Caitlyn Cornett (Fred Vance, Jr.) and Mark Cornett, Jr. (Laura Thompson); great-grandsons, Michael and Jude; and siblings, Elsie Spencer, Evelyn Goldstein, Ruth Moore-May, Johnny May (Karen), Glenda Pfaadt, David Cox (Patti) and Robin Palmer (Pete); and a host of family and friends.

Funeral service will be conducted at 10 am on Thursday, November 30, 2017 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home, Mt. Washington (Hwy. 44 East at Winning Colors Dr.) with interment in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Friends may pay their respects on Wednesday from 1-8 pm at the funeral home. www.subfuneralhome.com
