Ruby LaVerne (Beard) Brown

Ruby LaVerne (Beard) Brown, 83, of Shepherdsville, Kentucky, returned to her heavenly father on June 16, 2018. Mrs. Brown was born on March 19, 1935 in Buffalo, Kentucky to the Late Charles and Lillian (Thompson) Beard. Mrs. Brown devoted many years as the owner and operator of B & W Chairlift and was a member of Mt. Holly United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Brown is preceded in death by her husband, Harold Brown; son, Monte Brown; brother, David Beard and sister, Charlene Beard.

She leaves to cherish her memory her daughters, Vickie Douthat (Michael), Karen Kopple (Jerry), and Sharon Passmore (Ron); granddaughters, Sarah Douthat and Jamie Bridwell (Brandon); greatgrandchildren, Stevie, Jacob, and Michael Douthat, Danny and Kevin Bridwell; 5 step grandchildren; 17 step greatgrandchildren; 1 step great-greatgrandchild and a host of many loving family and friends.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, June 21, 2018 at Mt. Holly United Methodist Church (804 Mt Holly Rd, Fairdale, KY 40118) with entombment at Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Friends may pay their respects on Wednesday, June 20, 2018 at Schoppenhorst, Underwood & Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy at Brooks Rd.)  from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm and on Thursday from 10:00 am until the time of the service at 11:00 am.
