Mrs. Ruby Nena (Hume) Phillips, age 92, of Heritage Creek returned to her Heavenly Father on February 19, 2018. Mrs. Phillips was a cashier for Louisville International Airport and a member of Victory Baptist Church. Among those that preceded her in death include her parents, Archie and Pearl (Hall) Hume; husband, Sylvester Phillips, Sr.; son, Thomas Phillips; brothers, Herman, Ernest and Alvis Hume; and sisters, Lois Sloan and Edna Kingery. She leaves to cherish her memory her children, Teresa Canary (Butch), Deborah Chaudoin (Don), Tim Phillips (Carolyn), Sylvester Phillips, Jr. (Diane) and Carol Duff; 13 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Debra Phillips; and sister, Lola Age.
Funeral service will be conducted at 2 pm on Friday, February 23, 2018 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Highway at Brooks Road) with interment in Brookland Cemetery.
