Samuel "Sonny" Warren Ferguson

Samuel Warren Ferguson, age 77, of Butchertown, returned to his Heavenly Father Wednesday January 3, 2018. Mr. Ferguson was born on December 21, 1940 to the late Samuel L., and Helen Ferguson in Louisville Kentucky. He was an Air Force veteran and was self-employed the remainder of his work life. He loved playing cards with his family, playing bingo, playing golf, and going to “the boat”.  Mr. Ferguson loved his family and he will be greatly missed.  

Among those preceding him in death include his 2 brothers, Bill and Jimmy Ferguson, and his stepmother, Norma Lee Ferguson.

He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife, Linda Ferguson; 4 children, Sandra D. Ferguson, Samuel W. Ferguson Jr., Roger D, Ferguson, and Dody A. Ferguson (Paul); the mother of his children, Anita Ferguson; 4 grandchildren, Samantha Lynch (Eric),  Amber Dye (Brent),Molly Kaelin, and Clayton Franklin (Brittany); 5 great grandchildren, Falcon Elliott, Ariel Franklin, Joshua Dye, and  Arianna and Chris Lynz; 2 sisters, Vickie Gaines (Glenn) and Nina Hicks (Ronnie); several nieces, nephews, and loving friends.

Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 pm on Sunday January 7, 2018, at Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) with burial to follow at Brookland Cemetery. Friends can pay their respects on Saturday from 2:00 to 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
