Mrs. Sharon Ann Vittitow, age 88, of Louisville, entered eternal life on Saturday, August 22, 2026. Mrs. Vittitow was born in Louisville, KY, on January 26, 1938, to the late Flora “Flo” Miller Norris and William Edward “Ed” Norris.
Sharon was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. She was a devoted caretaker who found great joy in caring for her family and those in her community. She was known for her giving heart, her compassion for others, and her willingness to be there whenever someone needed her.
In addition to her parents, her beloved husband, Earl Leon Vittitow; son, Steven Earl Vittitow; daughter, Denise Ann Tompkins and her sons-in-law, Tim Jacobi and Dan Bowles preceded her in death.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Nancy Collins (Joe), Pamela Byerly (Terry), Donna Jacobi, Vicki Bowles and Daryl Vittitow (Shari) and her adopted daughter, Brenda Condes; grandchildren, Marc (Ashley), Christine, Lesli (Mike), Rickey, Steven (Morgan), Sara (Darren), Joey, Brandon, Bradley, Carmen, Abbi (Quentin), Jacob (Ann), Meridith (Joe) and Kailee (Austin); 23 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild, Dallas Reid and a host of other dear family and friends.
Funeral service will be held at 6:00 pm on Friday, August 28, 2026 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (4895 N. Preston Hwy., Shepherdsville, KY) with Pastor Barrett Howard Officiating. Friends and family may pay their respects on Friday from 12:00 pm until the time of service at 6:00 pm at the funeral home.
Private entombment will be held at Evergreen Cemetery alongside her husband and parents.
Expressions of sympathy may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
