Mrs. Sharon Lee Waddell, 78, of Shepherdsville, Ky returned to her Heavenly Father on Thursday, January 2, 2025. She was born in Chicago, Illinois, on April 13, 1946, to the late Simon DeLuna and Elizabeth (Eagen) DeLuna. Sharon worked as a secretary for Walmart, was a loving and caring wife, mother, and Mamaw. She loved her fur babies over the years, working in her flower gardens, spending time at the Casino, a good meal at Texas Roadhouse, and she loved wintertime and the snow. Sharon will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, grandchild Zachary Waddell, her aunt and uncle Luther and Mary Steinmeyer.
She is survived by her husband of 34 years Mike Waddell, two children Kenneth Gladhart, Teresa Bennett, bonus children Melisa Waddell, and Bryan Waddell, grandchildren Ronald Allen Fisher, Rachael Waddell, LeLe Demetri, Brandan Cunningham, Tyler Cunningham, Kyle Cunningham, along with other dear family and friends.
A Funeral service will be held on Monday, January 13, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel at Schoppenhorst Underwood & Brooks Funeral Home (4895 N. Preston Hwy, at John Harper Freeway). Burial to follow at Brookland Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 12, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.
