Shirley Elizabeth Edwards

Mrs. Shirley Elizabeth Edwards, age 73, of Brooks, Kentucky, returned to her Heavenly Father on Thursday, April 13, 2023. She was born on September 18, 1949 in Louisville, Kentucky. Mrs. Edwards retired from Ford Motor Company. She is preceded in death by her parents, Joeseph Leo Daily and Mary Daily-Reinig; husband, Ernest Dale Edwards; brother, Charlie Daily.

Shirley was an independent, strong woman who was always there for others. Shirley had a heart of gold and lit up any room when she walked into it. She loved quoting the Bible. Loving all animals, her favorite were her dogs, Tippy and Bella. In her past time, you could find Shirley spending time with her friends or with her family. Her children were everything to her. She will genuinely be missed by all who knew her.

She leaves to cherish her memory her daughters, Sonya Wilson (Chris), Christine King (David); grandchildren, Cody King (Sarah), Rachel Wilson; great grandchild, Leah Grace King; sister, Jane Heun; sister, Joyce Vaughn (Ronnie); brother, Joe Daily (JoAnn); brother, Tommy Daily; sister, Linda Johnson; brother, Buck Daily (Carol), sister, Charnel Arrowood; sister, Vickie Dorton; brother, Tony Daily (Deana); and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 22, 2023 at 12:00pm Noon in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy at Brooks Rd) with burial at Brookland Cemetery. Family and friends may pay their respect on Friday, April 21, 2023 from 2:00pm until 8:00pm and again on Saturday from 10:00 until the time of service at 12:00pm. Expressions of sympathy can be made to the American Cancer Society.
