Mrs. Shirley Ann Hanna, age 91, of Louisville, Kentucky returned to her Heavenly Father on Thursday, August 6, 2026. She was born in Louisville to the late Ernest and Georgia Bramer on September 7, 1934. Mrs. Hanna loved reading different genres of books, gardening in flower garden and when she was able to, travel. She had visited all 50 states. Mrs. Hanna was a member of St. Athanasius Catholic Church. She is preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, Richard Hanna; and brothers, Ernest Bramer and Robert Bramer.
To cherish her memory are her children, Debbie Givens (Doyle), Dennis Hanna (Pam) and Tim Hanna; grandchildren, Jennifer Richards (Pat), Shawn Field (Susanna), Stacy Pogue (Jackie), Taylor Drake (Nick), Kelly Goodlett (Seth), and Hannah Allen (Derek); great grandchildren, Madalyn Richards, Isabella Field, Annie Allen, Charley Pogue, Laney Goodlett, Kaelyn Freudenthal, Kasen Freudenthal, Gregory Dake, Alanna Drake and Ruby Drake; sisters, Lynda Connolly, Sue Painter, Rita Denhard and Angie Yount.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:00 AM on Friday, August 14, 2026 at St. Athanasius Catholic Church. Family and friends may pay their respects on Thursday, August 13, 2026 from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy at Brooks Rd.). Burial will take place after mass at Brookland Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy can be made to the Parkinson's Foundation or Mass of the Air in memory of Mrs. Hanna.
