Shirley Louise Sims

Mrs. Shirley Louise Sims, age 89, of Louisville, Kentucky, returned to her Heavenly Father Saturday, July 5, 2025. Mrs. Sims was born July 15, 1935, in Louisville Kentucky, to Robert and Rosella “Sauter” Reddicks. Shirley enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was a member of Grace Immanuel United Church of Christ and an active member of the MUSCL Senior Group. Shirley loved camping, playing cards and computer games. She will truly be missed by all who knew her.

Among those who preceded her in death is her husband, Robert Sims; parents; brother, Robert Reddicks Jr.; sisters, Norma Gentry, Pat Conley and Bobbie Jean; daughter, Valerie ; granddaughter, Laura; 3 grandsons, Terry, Dee and Dustin; 1 great grandson, Aaron. 

She leaves to cherish her children, Paula Gaffney, William Bieckert Jr., Phyllis Johnson, Pam Kelly, Danny Bieckert (Janel), Penny Hillberry (Donnie), Terry Parrish (Wendell), Rob Sims (Missy), David Sims (Michelle), Tony Osbourne, Debbie Rumbaugh (Terry), Jeff Sims (Karen), Barbara Hutchison, and Stanley Osbourne; 40 grandchildren; 54 great grandchildren; 6 great- great grandchildren; brother, Jack Reddicks; nephew, Steve Miller; and a host of other family and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 5:00pm on Thursday, July 10, 2025, in the chapel of Schoppenhorst Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home, Mt. Washington (123 Winning Colors Drive, Mt. Washington, Kentucky.) with cremation to follow. Friends may pay their respects on Thursday from 1:00pm until time of service at the funeral home.
