Mr. Sonnie “Chuck” Dunbar, age 59, of Carrollton, Kentucky, returned to his Heavenly Father on Friday, October 2, 2026. He was born in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Junior and Mary Dunbar on June 15, 1967. Mr. Dunbar worked as a plant operator for 27 years at Bowen Elementary. He is preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Drusilla Nadine Sutherland, TiJuanna Kaye Dunbar and MaDonna Raye Dunbar.
He leaves to cherish his memory his daughter, Kasie Watson (David); brother, Ronald Dunbar; 1 niece and 3 nephews; and many cherished family and friends.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 17, 2026 at 2:00pm in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy at Brooks Rd) with burial at Maple Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery in Greensburg, Kentucky. Family and friends may pay their respects on Saturday from 10:00 am until the time of service.
