Steve Ramsey

   Steve Ramsey, age 73 of Okolona, returned to his Heavenly Father on Wednesday, June 7, 2023. He was born on January 6, 1950 to the late Frank and Kathryn “Kitty” Ramsey. Steve loved joking around but most of all, his family was his world. They would all describe him as the most amazing man who ever walked the earth. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Bradley Ramsey; great-grandson, Dax; sister, Mary Woods and brother, James Ramsey.

   He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 50 years, Virginia Ramsey; son, Steve Ramsey; daughter, Ashleigh Shoemaker (Jason); daughter-in-law, Mary Ramsey; grandchildren, Steven, Makayla, Payton, Alex, Brianna, Emily, Ramsey, Malorie, Jackson, Daphne, Gage and a granddaughter on the way; great-grandchildren, Roan, Olivia and Curtis; brother, Bobby Ramsey and a host of other family and friends.

   Funeral service will be held at 1 pm on Monday, June 12, 2023 in the chapel at Schoppenhorst, Underwood & Brooks Funeral Home (4895 N. Preston Hwy. in Shepherdsville) with entombment in Highland Memory Gardens. Family and friends may pay their respects on Sunday, June 11, 2023 from 3 pm until 8 pm and on Monday, June 12, 2023 from 9 am until time of service at Schoppenhorst, Underwood & Brooks Funeral Home.
