Steven "Steve" Eugene Thompson

Steven " Steve" Eugene Thompson, age 67 passed away Monday, September 16, 2024, at home with his loving family at his bedside. Steven was born on August 16, 1957, in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Jeff Thompson and Roberta (Tuck) Thompson. He is a retired carpenter from Local 175 and a member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters. He was a devote Christian and enjoyed being surrounded by his many parishioners and always enjoyed lending a helping hand when needed. Steve will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents Dave and Emma Thompson and Harold and Florence Tuck.

He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years Rebecca Thompson, two sons, Christopher and Cameron, his brothers Kenneth Thompson (Lori), Ronald Thompson, sisters, Janice Seibert, Rebecca Adams (Ernest), Linda Atwell (Bill), numerous nieces, nephews, and great and great-great nieces and nephews, along with a host of other dear family and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday September 23, 2024, at Schoppenhorst Underwood & Brooks Funeral Home (4895 N. Preston Highway at John Harper Freeway). Family and friends may pay their respects on Sunday, September 22, 2024, from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and again Monday from 9:00 a.m. until time of service. Burial to follow at Brookland Cemetery.
