Suzanne Shaw Sallenger

Suzanne Shaw Sallenger, age 82 of Mt. Washington, returned to her Heavenly Father on Monday October 2, 2023. She was born on June 20, 1941 in Dayton, Kentucky to the late Robert E. and Elsie (Booher) Sallenger. She was a Registered Nurse and a Kentucky Colonel. She sat on numerous Nonprofit boards throughout her adult life helping people in need. She was a long time friend of Bill W. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Robert Michael DeBlasi.

Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Jim DeBlasi (Ann) and Jonathan DeBlasi; grandchildren, Garrett DeBlasi (McKenzie), Jonathan DeBlasi II (Aileen), Andrew DeBlasi and Sawyer DeBlasi and a host of dear friends and family. All of her cherished cousins were like siblings to her.

A memorial service will be held on Friday October 20, 2023 at 7 pm in the chapel at Schoppenhorst, Underwood & Brooks Funeral Home (4895 N. Preston Hwy. in Shepherdsville). Friends and family may pay their respects on Friday, October 20, 2023 from 1pm until time of service at Schoppenhorst, Underwood & Brooks Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Kentucky Humane Society in Suzanne's name is appreciated.
