Mrs. Tammy Lynn Ott, age 66, of Shepherdsville, KY returned to her Heavenly Father on Thursday, September 4, 2025, with her family by her side. She was born in Montgomery, Alabama on July 5, 1959, to the late Badie Joseph Burden and Betty Rae Brucks. Tammy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. Her family was the center of her universe. She was past President of the Bullitt County Chamber of Commerce, on the Foster Review Board, and started CASA in Bullitt County. Tammy moved the Bowman Valley School Participants and revitalized the Bowman Valley Cemetery. She was an avid member of the Bullitt County Women’s club and Bullitt County Center for Women & Families. She spent her life lifting up others wherever she went, offering kindness, comfort, and compassion. Her strength was quiet but powerful, and her courage was a light to those who needed hope. She had a gift for seeing the good in everything and everyone. She found beauty in the simple things: collecting rocks, spending hours at the lake, and treasuring the laughter and love of her grandchildren. Her grandkids were the light of her life. Tammy brought laughter, warmth, and a heart full of love to every moment. Her memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved her. Tammy was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Joe Burden.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 41 years, Stanley “Philip” Ott Jr., daughter, Lacosta Livingston (Chris); grandchildren, Emma Livingston, Maddie Livingston, and Luke Livingston; siblings, Donna Banister (Tommy), Kenny Burden, Butch Burden (Randa), and Missy Macey; along with a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
