Tommie L Humphries

Mr. Tommie L. Humphries, age 90, of Jeffersontown, Kentucky, returned to his Heavenly Father on, Thursday, September 17, 2026. He was born to the late Thomas W. and Marie A. Humphries in Louisville, Kentucky, on October 16, 1935. Mr. Humphries is preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife, Goldia; sisters, Joanne Mulrooney and Mary Dietrich; sister-in-law, Marilyn Humphries; and son-in-law, Dennis Brummett.

Mr. Humphries was devout catholic and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. He was a volunteer at the Sister Visitor Center and at the St. John's Homeless Shelter. Mr. Humphries was an electrician by trade and was a member of the Local 369 IBEW and the Moose Lodge. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed playing golf. He will be missed by those who knew and loved him.

He leaves to cherish his memory his children, Thomas C Humphries and his wife Kristin Booker, Steve C. Humphries and his wife Terry, Christina E. Brummett; grandchildren, Nicole Humphries, Gabrielle Humphries, Kimberly Humphries, Chrisden Barnes and her husband Chuck Jr., Evan Booker, Booker Rawlins, Maya Rawlins; great grandchildren, Caiden and Caitlyn Barnes; brother, Edward Humphries; sister-in-law, Gloria Orm; brother-in-law, Harry Troop; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 1, 2026 at 7:00pm in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy at Brooks Rd). Family and friends may pay their respects on Thursday from 4:00PM until the time of the service.
