Tonia Marie James

Ms. Tonia Marie James, age 49, of Louisville, Ky returned to her Heavenly Father on Thursday, May 27, 2021. Tonia was born on July 28, 1971, in Louisville, KY to Bobby James and Beverly Farmer Porter. Tonia loved volleyball when she was younger and competed with her dad as her coach, she enjoyed movies, softball and loved the University of Louisville Basketball and football teams.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her parents; sister, Sheila Blackburn; stepbrother, Matthew Porter (Mandy); daughter, Meghan Watson; and son Tyler Pryor (Hillary); grandson, Elijah Pryor; nieces and nephews, Madison Blackburn and Ethan Blackburn; along with other extended family and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, June 7, 2021, in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy at Brooks Rd) interment to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. Friends may pay their respects on Sunday, June 6, 2021 from 1 pm until 8 pm and on Monday from 11 am until the time of service at the funeral home.
