Troy "TJ" Dean Merrifield

Troy Dean Merrifield, Jr. age 22 returned to his Heavenly Father on May 29, 2018. Troy was born on May 20, 1996 in Louisville to Troy Dean Merrifield, Sr. and Susan Marie (Summitt) Johnson. Troy was a roofer by trade. His family meant everything to him and his heart was gold.

He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Jimmy Woodard; grandmother, Shirley Douglas and his Aunt Stacy Woodard.

Troy leaves to cherish his memory his son, Tyler James Dean Merrifield; his mother, Susan (Summitt) Johnson, stepfather, Robert Johnson; sister Brittany Hooker (Josh Stephens); brother, Ronald C Hooker (Jessica); brother, Derrick Merrifield; sister, Erica Merrifield; nephews, Anthony, Clayton, Alex, Nathan, Joshua, Bailee, Jay; nieces, Ma’Kynzie, Skyleigh, Kadince, Kaylee and a host of loving family and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 7, 2018 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Schoppenhorst Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Brooks Rd at Preston Hwy) with burial in Brookland Cemetery. Friends may pay their respects on Wednesday, June 6, 2018 from 1:00 to 8:00 pm and on Thursday 10:00 am until time of service in the chapel.
