Ms. Vera Lee Jackson, age 72, of Louisville, Kentucky, returned to her Heavenly Father on Tuesday, January 6, 2026. Vera was born in Nashville, Tennessee on September 19,1953, to the late Leslie Lucas and Mary Ray Houchins. Vera was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her. She enjoyed spending time with her family and fishing, loving spending time with her fur babies. Her beautiful smile will be remembered forever.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her loving daughter Rachel Harmon, and 7 brothers and sisters.
She leaves to cherish her memory her children Samuel Lucas, Denise George (Phillip), and Margie Felts, 10 grandchildren, brother Randall “Peanut” Lucas and sister Gerri Fullerton, along with a host of other family and friends.
A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, January 24, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. at Schoppenhorst Underwood & Brooks Funeral Home (4895 N. Preston Highway and John Harper Freeway 40165). Visitation will be held Saturday, January 24, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. until time of service at 3:00 p.m. Cremation to follow.
