Virginia "Helen" Ball

Mrs. Virginia A. “Helen” (Hardwick) Ball, age 74, of Brooks returned to her Heavenly Father on September 23, 2018. Mrs. Ball worked at Taylor Drugs and Expressway Liquors. She was a Baptist by faith. Among those that preceded her in death are her parents, Charles Hardwick and Virginia Kiser (Ted); husband, Wayne Carson Barker; and aunt, Geraldine Allen. She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, Violet “Shelley” Barrentine (Joey); grandchildren, Branden, Breanna, Bryson, Kayla and Austin; great-grandchildren, Carson, Serenity, Emmitt, Brennan and Braelynn; and very special aunt, Anna Mae Smith and her nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral service will be conducted at 2 pm on Friday, September 28, 2018 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Highway at Brooks Road) with interment in Brookland Cemetery. Friends may pay their respects on Thursday from 2-8 pm and Friday from 10 am until time of service at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to her loving daughter and care giver.
