Virginia "Ginny" Lee Singleton

Mrs. Virginia “Ginny” Lee (Sutherland) Singleton, age 78, of Okolona returned to her Heavenly Father on July 31, 2020. Mrs. Singleton was born on July 2, 1942 in Louisville, KY to the late Frank and Dorothy (Rockey) Sutherland. She worked as a mail sorter for East Tennessee Bank and was a member of Guardian Angels Catholic Church. Among those that preceded her in death are her parents; husband, Charles Singleton, Jr.; and brother, Frankie Sutherland.

She leaves to cherish her memory her children, Charles Singleton III (Connie), Charlotte Singleton, Mary Singleton and Michael Singleton; grandson, Brandon Singleton; and brothers, Charles and William Joseph Sutherland. The family would like to thank Dr. Michael Driscoll of Norton Oncology and Dr. Evans of Audubon Hospital for the care given to Mrs. Singleton.

Funeral service will be conducted at 10 am on Wednesday, August 5, 2020 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home-Mt. Washington (123 Winning Colors Drive at Hwy. 44 East) with interment in Calvary Cemetery.  Friends may pay their respects on Tuesday from 1-8 pm and Wednesday from 9 am until time of service at the funeral home.
