Mrs. Wanda J. Janes, age 79, of Shepherdsville, returned to her Heavenly Father on Wednesday, October 2, 2013. Mrs. Janes was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, a member of UAW and retired from Ford Motor Company.
Among those who preceded her in death, include, her husband, Kimble Janes; parents, Russell and Rena Gilland; siblings, Coreen Grimmett, Pauline Damron, Paul Gilland, Rowena McKendree and Sue Hensley.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her daughters, Sue Janes Ellis (Bruce), Candy Janes Curry (Lee); grandchildren, Kimberly Landreth (Ed), Kayla Conder (Kyle) and Katie Curry (Shane); siblings, J.D. Gilland (Wilma), Dorothy Crawford and Roberta May and a host of other family and friends.
Funeral service will be held on Monday, October 7, 2013 at 10:00 am at Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) with internment in Brookland Cemetery. Friends may pay their respects on Saturday from 1:00 pm until 8:00 pm and on Sunday from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm.
