William Leroy "Bill" Adams

Mr. William (Bill) Leroy Adams, age 80, of Louisville, passed away peacefully while surrounded by family on Sunday, December 1, 2024. William was born in Louisville, KY on June 4, 1944. He attended and graduated high school from Shepherdsville High School. He served in the United States Air Force for 4 years and enjoyed his time serving in Alaska. He retired from the US Postal Service after 41 years of service. He loved to fish, garden, gamble and work on the farm. He passed after a long illness and fight with Parkinsons. 

He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 54 years, Cathern (Cathy) A. Adams; son, David E. Adams (Nina); grandsons, Zachary Carter Adams and Benjamin Nolan Adams who he dearly loved and a host of other dear family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Leroy Adams and Ruby (Tomlinson) Adams and his Uncle Bill and Aunt Leila (Tomlinson) Brent.

Friends and family may pay their respects on Wednesday, December 4, 2024 from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) Private interment, graveside service and military honors will be held on Thursday, December 5, 2024 at Hebron Cemetery.
