William "Bill" Earl Harris

Mr. William “Bill” Earl Harris, age 70, of Shepherdsville, Kentucky, passed away February 2, 2024, with his family by his side. Bill was born in Louisville, Kentucky on November 29, 1953, to the late Fred Diehl and Caroline (Ritter) Harris Diehl. He worked in security at Bashford Manor Mall and Jefferson Mall for many years. He was catholic by faith, he loved animals especially his cats, enjoyed sports, basketball, and football, he was a diehard Louisville Fan and liked spending time with people and enjoyed sitting outside soaking up the sun. Bill will be truly missed by all who knew him. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, and stepfather Fred Diehl, brother James Harris.

He leaves his loving wife of 18 years Lynda Harris, a son William Harris, Jr., daughters Melissa Reece, and Amanda Breckenridge, and 7 grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm on Thursday February 8, 2024, at Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (4895 N.Preston Hwy.) with burial at Evergreen Cemetery.

 Visitation will be Wednesday February 7, 2024, from 1pm to 8pm and Thursday from 10 am until time of service.
