William George Dunn, Sr.

Mr. William George Dunn, Sr., age 87, of the South End of Louisville returned to his Heavenly Father on December 24, 2023. Mr. Dunn was born on May 10, 1936, in Louisville, KY to the late Henry Grady Dunn and Emily Goldie (Roberts) Dunn. He worked for C & S Truck Sales. Among those that preceded him in death are his parents, wife, Margaret Lee (Patterson) Dunn; son, William George Dunn, Jr.; grandchildren, Brandie Hardin, Ashley Dunn, and Kevin Singer II; great-grandson, Justin Lee Dunn, Jr.; seven sisters; five brothers; and his fur baby, Midnight.

He leaves to cherish his memory his daughters, Belinda Dunn (Steve), Pam Lay (Richard), Bertha Dunn, Betty Wright (Don), Michelle Kolarik (Ivo), and Tambra Dunn (Dennis); 16 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-granddaughter; brother, Grady Dunn (Leah); sisters, Ruth Ann Whaley, Goldie Solomon, and Patsy Bailey; and fur baby, Daisy.

Funeral service will be conducted at 12 pm on Wednesday, January 3, 2024, in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Highway at Brooks Road) with interment in Resthaven Memorial Park. Family and friends may pay their respects on Tuesday from 1-8 pm and Wednesday from 9 am until the time of service at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the funeral home.
