Mr. William “Buddy” Thomas Hudson, age 92, of Louisville, returned to his Heavenly Father and reunited with his loving wife of 67 years Carolyn Mae Hudson on Thursday, February 12, 2026. Mr. Hudson was born in Washington County, Kentucky on Friday, April 14, 1933, to the late Ruel E. Hudson and Nellie (Hood) Hudson.
He was a Christian by faith. A member and elder of Okolona Christian Church where he enjoyed gathering with his Sunday School class. William was a Veteran of the U.S. Army serving in the Korean War. He also retired from General Electric after 38 years.
He leaves to cherish his memory his sons, William J. Hudson (Deborah), Gary L. Hudson (Linda), Larry E. Hudson (Susan), and Phillip D. Hudson (Vicki); 11 grandchildren; 21 great- grandchildren and 3 siblings.
Funeral service will be at 12 noon on Friday, February 20, 2026, in the Chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home, 4895 N. Preston Hwy, with burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery. Family and friends may pay their respects on Thursday from 2 pm till 8 pm and again on Friday from 10 am until the time of service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers a donation in William’s name may be made to either Hosparus Health or Okolona Christian Church “Uncharted” project.
