Mr. William Frederick Mahoney, Jr., age 74 of Shepherdsville, Kentucky, returned to his Heavenly Father on Monday, February 19, 2024. He was born on June 15, 1949, in Louisville, Kentucky to the late William Frederick Sr. and Clara Mae (Clardy) Mahoney. Mr. Mahoney, Jr., was a United States Navy veteran and retired from General Electric where he worked in maintenance. He was proud of his service and worked as a reserve deputy sheriff for Jefferson and Bullitt Counties. Mr. Mahoney, Jr. was methodist by faith. He is preceded in death by his parents.He leaves to cherish his memory his children, Tonia Rene Mahoney, William Frederick Mahoney III (Shana); grandchildren, Cody, Sierra, Brenna, Emily; great grandchildren, Jake, Ramzi; siblings, Kenny Mahoney (Hoopie), Sandy Hawkins (Doug); companion, Sharon; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.A memorial service will be on Saturday, February 24, 2024 at 5:00 pm in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy at Brooks Rd).
