William Lear Short

William Lear Short, 81, of Highview, returned to his Heavenly Father on Monday, April 1, 2017. Mr. Short was a member of Highview Baptist Church, and a Kentucky Colonel. He also had many hobbies but enjoyed greatly making knifes and photography. Among those that preceded him in death include his parents, William Ralph & Sue Carolyn Short. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife, Lena Short; sons, Mike Short, Greg Short (Grace); grandchildren, Steven Short, Amber Burtch; and great-granddaughter, Adelaide Grace Burtch.

Funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 4, 2017 at 3:30pm in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood, & Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) with burial in Brookland Cemetery.
