Wilma O' Bryan Conover

Mrs. Wilma O’Bryan Conover, age 85, of Shepherdsville, returned to her Heavenly Father on Monday, July 13, 2026. Mrs. Conover was born in Marion County, KY on July 12, 1941 to the late Lucille Evans Hays and Wilson Hays.

She dedicated her life to caring for those she loved and created a warm and loving home where family always came first. She also took great pride in her hard work with General Electric where she was employed for many years.

Her faith was the foundation of her life. She was a faithful member of Eastern Gate Baptist Church and was deeply involved in its ministry, working tirelessly to help build and strengthen the church community. She found great joy in serving the Lord alongside her church family.

Above all, she will be remembered as a devoted wife, loving mother, cherished grandmother and great-grandmother.

In addition to her parents, her first husband, Joseph Edward O’Bryan and her second husband, Calvin Conover preceded her in death.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her children, James “Jimmy” Hardin (Tammy), Kay Hendrickson (Randy), Melinda Wales (Jay), Melissa Powers (Ron) and Joseph Edward O’ Bryan Jr. (Sadieh); grandchildren AKA Pootertails, Justin Hardin, Crystal Banks, Bryan Sullivan, Jessica Reynolds, Brandon O’ Bryan, Matthew McGaren, Katie Sullivan, Kyle Hardin, Austin Wales, Kayla Powers, Krista Gibson, Dustin Wales, Christian O’Bryan and Keynan O’ Bryan; a host of step grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews; sisters, Carolyn Evans Lynch, Joyce Wilson Vermillion and Betty Louise Hatchett; her loving church family at Eastern Gate Baptist and a host of other dear family and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, July 18, 2026 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) with burial to follow at Brookland Cemetery. Friends and family may pay their respects on Friday, July 17, 2026 from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm and on Saturday from 10:00 am until the time of her service at 2:00 pm at the funeral home.
