Co. for 30 years, retiring as president in 1982. Ted outlived two wives, Betty (married 1943-1974) and Peggy (married 1976-2011). He's survived by his sister Evalyn Humphrey, 104; daughter Janet Sears and sons Richard Sears and David E. Caldwell; 5 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; 4 stepchildren and 5 step-grandsons. Ted was very grateful for all his family; Seattle Golf Club, where he was a member for 41 years, and the Mirabella Retirement Community, where he spent his final 3 years. He didn't want a formal memorial service, but family and close friends will gather at the Mirabella on July 20 to reminisce.
