

Altagrace Charles affectionally known as "Dedette" was born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, the eighth child of her parents, the late Marie F. Rene and Emile Charles. She was preceded in death by her siblings Jean, Raoul, Georgette, Dadou and Marie. She is lovingly remembered by her surviving siblings, Immacula Guillaume and Dr. Denis Charles.

Altagrace leaves behind a large and devoted family, including a host of nieces and nephews who will forever hold her memory close. Her life was marked by resilience, devotion, generosity, and an unshakeable love for The Lord. She will be deeply missed by all who were blessed to know her.
Altagrace’s life was profoundly shaped by her unwavering faith in God. After giving her life to Christ, she became deeply rooted in scripture and dedicated herself to living out The Lord’s word with sincerity and joy. She spoke about The Lord at every opportunity, offering encouragement, prayer, and spiritual guidance to her community, friends, and family. No matter where life took her, she found a church home and worshiped faithfully. She also sang in the women’s group at her church, lifting her voice in praise and inspiring others through her heartfelt worship.
Her faith fueled her generosity. Altagrace was known for her giving spirit and boundless love. She cared deeply for her children, grandchildren, and the many individuals she embraced as her spiritual children. Her home, her heart, and her hands were always open. She helped others without hesitation, offering support, wisdom, and compassion to anyone in need. Her kindness was not just a trait — it was a ministry.
On September 4, 2026, Altagrace died peacefully in her sleep at home, surrounded by her loving children and grandchildren.
The Visitation will be held at Eternal Hills Funeral Home, 3594 Stone Mountain Highway, Snellville, GA 30039, US, on September 18, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
