Alvin Robert Johnson

Born on September 25, 1930, in Between, Georgia, Bob was the son of Alvin Rex Johnson and Sarah Gladys Johnson. Growing up, he worked on the family farm, where he developed the strong work ethic and love of the outdoors that would remain with him throughout his life. He later built a successful career in the plumbing industry, serving his community with dedication and skill for many years.

Above all else, Bob was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend. Throughout his life, he cherished the relationships he built and the time he spent with those he loved. He was blessed to share his life with his first wife, Vera Johnson (passed in 1992), his second wife, Hazel Johnson (passed in 2018), and his third wife, Tessie Johnson (passed in 2021).

A faithful man of God, Bob was a devoted member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. His faith guided him throughout his life and was reflected in the kindness, generosity, and steadfast love he showed to others.

Bob found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He loved fishing, golfing, and spending time outdoors. He took great pride in caring for his land, tending to his goats and donkeys, and keeping his property beautiful. Few things made him happier than mowing the grass, caring for his animals, and enjoying the peace and beauty of the countryside he called home.

His loving family includes Richard "Erb" Johnson (passed in 2025), Ida Johnson, Brenda Johnson, Rachael "Shorty" Johnson, and Debra Johnson (passed in 2016). His family will forever cherish his memory, including his children, Cathy Johnson (passed in 1953), Marvin "Bubba" Johnson (passed in 2019), and Ronnie Johnson and his wife, Connie. In addition to many beloved cousins, nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family members, and dear friends.

Bob's life was marked by hard work, unwavering faith, and a deep love for his family. His gentle spirit, wisdom, and dedication to those he loved will be remembered always.

Visitation will be held at Eternal Hills Funeral Home, 3594 Stone Mountain Highway, Snellville, GA 30039, US, on June 5, 2026, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm, followed by the Funeral Service at the same location from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm.

A Committal Service will take place at Eternal Hills Memory Gardens, 3700 Stone Mountain Highway, Snellville, GA 30039, US, on June 5, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 1:30 pm.
