Amy Dills Edwards

Amy Ruth Dills Edwards, age 69, of Lawrenceville, Georgia, passed away on June 4, 2026. She was born on September 5, 1956, in Gainesville, Georgia, to the late Alvin Dills and the late Montine McCrary Dills. She was a graduate of Shamrock High School in Decatur, Georgia. She held a variety of Executive Assistant positions prior to her retirement in October 2025.

On December 29, 1978, Amy married Sterling Edwards, the neighbor who finally stole her heart. Amy had a hilarious, offbeat sense of humor. She would always tell you what she thought. She enjoyed reading, cooking, country music, and beach trips to the Gulf. She professed her faith as Christian. Her favorite times were with family, especially as a grandmother.

Amy is survived by her husband, Sterling Edwards; her two sons, Drew Edwards (Lauren), and Derek Edwards; her granddaughter, Wrenley Edwards; her sister, Becky Bramlette (Ken); as well as her beloved nephew, niece, great-nephew, great-niece, cousins, and extended family members; and her beloved fur baby, Annabelle.

A reception will be held at Eternal Hills Funeral Home, 3594 Stone Mountain Highway, Snellville, Georgia 30039 on June 20, 2026, from 11:30am to 12:30pm, followed by a Celebration of Life at the same location from 12:30pm to 1:30pm.
