I met Barbara through the Historical Society & later became one of her Trivia buddies in Winter Garden. I always enjoyed being with her and appreciated her sunny disposition . Most of all I admired her valiant fight to beat her cancer diagnosis. She was an inspiration to me💔

Barbara was a dancer and a fan of laughter and fun. I got to enjoy this with her at Howl at the Moon. She had a young spirit. I've enjoyed knowing her and hope heaven is everything she can ask for. Keep dancing Barbara and keep bringing laughter throughout the heavens.

Shortly after moving out to Howey in the Hills, my wife Becky and I, met Barbara. Always with a smile, a hug, and a kind word, Barbara became an integral part of our Howey Legacy Group. We formed with the purpose of saving the Howey mansion from some evil developers’ bulldozer. Barbara’s experience with real estate and the South Lake Historical Society was an important part of what we tried to do. Her warmth, humor, and smile always welcome to our meetings. I miss our visits and shenanigans together. The world lost with her passing. We all need to “be like Barb” and smile, hug, and love as she did.

I only got to know Barbara in recent times . . . however, we quickly connected and shared so many views on a raft of topics! Her compassion and care were an inspiration . . . I could not help but be enthused and of course, like so many others, became immensely fond of her! One only has to witness the outpouring of love and concern for this strong and passionate lady as she fought the last battle of her life so bravely, to know that she made an indelible mark on each and every one of us. The world is a poorer place without you Barbara . . . in fact, it needed you and all that you stood for. Your good friend misses you - Ian x
